Abby's 1st Christmas

We had such an awesome Christmas! Abby made it so special!
Abby went and saw Santa for the 1st time on Saturday, she looks a little out of it in this picture, but we did get a few good ones from the Elf that was taking pictures.
Abby was dedicated at church on Sunday morning, and she slept through the whole thing. I was so worried because she was fussy all morning and only fell asleep 5 minutes before the dedication. All 4 of Abby's grandparents were involved in the dedication, and a lot of her family were there, including her 2 Great Grandads and her Great Granny and Great Grandma. Here are some pictures:

We had both families over for Christmas Eve, and we ate so much! We even had a chocolate fountain, thanks to Steve and Sue. I don't think Mike and Steve left the fountain all night!

Christmas Day was wonderful too. We were up at 6:30 and opened our gifts at home, then it was off to Bob & Fran's for Gallimore Breakfast, a Christmas Tradition. Abby met John, Lynn, Courtney, and Burke for the first time, and she spent some time with her Great Grandad Gallimore.

Then it was over to Brian and Anne's for the afternoon and Christmas Dinner. Abby was spoiled, of course, and we were able to take some 4 generation pictures:

Then it was back to Bob and Fran's to open presents with them and Uncle Steve and Auntie Sue, Abby was spoiled again. Great Grandad was holding Abby and she wouldn't stop smiling at him, he thought that was pretty great:

Abby also met her Uncle Rob for the first time over the holidays, that was a nice treat!

It was also nice to have Kirst and the family here for Abby's dedication, it was great to see you guys again!

From our family to yours, we hope you had a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the new year!

2 Months Old

Wow! Abby is 2 months old today. I can't believe it! I took her to the health centre today, she weighs 11 lbs 13 oz, no wonder she feels heavy!
We went and had lunch with Uncle Steve and now we are hanging out with Abby's Great Granny and Great Grandad Kelly who are here visiting from Toronto.
Abby will be dedicated at church on Sunday, it is going to be a special day. We will be sure to post pictures, so make sure you come back and check!

Here is a pic of Abby and her daddy last week, cheering on the Oil. I guess we didn't cheer hard enough last night though!

8 Weeks

Miss Abigail is 8 weeks old today, I cannot believe it, time has just flown by, but at the same time it feels like she has been here forever! She has been such a good girl this week. I went into work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week to help out, and I brought Abby with me, she was such a good girl being there all day, but man were we pooped. And then we went out on Thursday too to have lunch with Bri. And ontop of all of that, we finished up the Thank you cards and Christmas cards and put them in the mail, FINALLY! So sorry, I have no stats on her today, I was to tired to go out and get her weighed.
I do have a funny story though...
A few weeks ago, Bri made a snowman on the front lawn, we put a toque and scarf on him, and he looked pretty good (the snowman, not bri, although bri does look good to... anyway...) One day this week when I was leaving for work I noticed foot prints in the snow right up to the snowman, and sure enough, the scarf was gone! Who does that? I hope it was someone who was really cold and needed it to stay warm. But I just couldn't believe it, someone stole my scarf off of our snowman!
Anyway, enough babble for today, I'll leave you with some more pics from the night of Rico's photo shoot with Abs.

Pictures by Rico

On Thursday night Rico and Ben came over to watch Survivor, bake some cookies and play Settlers (which Chrissy won again...). We got Rico to take our Christmas picture and he also took a bunch of pictures of Abby that turned out great! Below are a few samples. The one with Abby on my arm Chrissy got blown up to poster size and it is framed in our living room now. It's awesome! Thanks so much to Rico, the pictures turned out perfect!

Back from the Doctor

Abby and I just got back from our 6 week check up at the doctor. Abby is doing very well, she is 22" long and almost 11 lbs! What a little pork chop, I thought the car seat was feeling a little heavy! I am doing alright, not 100%, but I'll spare you the details, if you really want to know, send me an email.
Not much else is new in Gallitown, just getting ready for Christmas. I am really looking forward to it this year!

Kirst, this story is for you, it is a poop story...
My beautiful daughter has found this fun new game, it is called "Fart while Mummy is changing my diaper" On Sunday morning I went through 4 diapers trying to change her, as soon as I put a new one on, she would fill it, then as I was taking one diaper away and putting another one on, she would fart and spray poop everywhere! Twice it even flew from her change table and hit the door to her room! Then last night, she did a huge one, this time all over my arm! I freaked out a little as I was trying to figure out how to hold the diaper on her and get a wipe to clean off my arm without getting poop on anything else! What a turkey! Oh the joys of parenthood! It is a good thing she is so darn cute!

Today's pic was taken on Saturday, at Fuel.Well until next time, Keep Fit & Have Fun!!

Our 3 kids

Abby is 6 weeks old today, I can't believe how fast time flies! We go to the doctor on Monday for the 6 week check-up. I am curious how much she weighs now, it has been a while since I have weighed her, and she seems a lot bigger to me. I had another "night off" last night. Grandma babysat so that we could go to the hockey game, the Oil lost bad, but it was nice to go out. Thanks Fran!
Here is a pic of Abby with her guard dogs. They are so good with her and are always giving her kisses, and she doesn't mind at all!

And some more pics from this week... I finally got some pictures of her beautiful smile. I know she is upset in the last picture, but I had to show you the bottom lip that she gives me all the time, it is just so cute! I think she was sick of me taking pictures!

Abby's first Swim

Chrissy and I (and all the other leaders) took the Junior & Senior Youth Groups swimming on Saturday night. The church rented Londonderry pool which was cool because we had the whole pool to ourselves. This was Abby's first time swimming and who better to do it with then her cousins Logan & Jonah! She screamed when we first put her in but she got used to the water quite quickly and seemed to have a good time. I was very proud of my girl. Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure...

Our little Eskimo

Abby is 5 weeks old today. Her and I just went out for a little shopping trip, but we had to cut it short because she was being a crank-pot, I am guessing she is tired. Last night was a rough night, she decided she didn't want to sleep, she wanted to be wide awake and cry. Bri tried for an hour but couldn't get her to sleep, so I tried and had no luck, not even her swing would work, she was just not a happy girl. I hope that is a normal baby thing and it doesn't mean she is getting sick or something, but I also hope it doesn't happen often, 'cause I am tired!
Anyway, apart from last night, she is doing really well, normally she sleeps for 4 hour stretches at night. I weighed her on Monday and she was 9lbs 11 oz, so she is growing well. Here is a pic of her in her jacket from Kirst and her family, it is perfect for this cold weather, and she looks like an eskimo.

Christmas Lights

So as you all know I can be kinda dumb sometimes. Here’s a good story for you:

This weekend Chrissy and I decided we’d put all the Christmas stuff up including the lights outside. I am kinda lazy so last year I left most of the lights up. It was a big pain in the butt to go up and down the ladder so I decided to be smart and leave the lights on so when I was up the ladder I would know which bulbs were burnt out and needed to be changed. Everything was going well until I got to a bulb that had broken. It was laying in my gutter (which was filled with water). I grabbed the bulb and felt a sharp pain. I thought I had cut myself on the broken glass. So, I just kept working away and then I dropped the string of lights back in the gutter. So, I reached in and grabbed the broken bulb AGAIN and it gave me a huge ZAP. I then pounded on the roof until Chrissy came out to go and unplug the lights. My thumb and index finger are still hurting today.

Note to self: electricity + water = bad news

4 weeks old

Miss Abby is 4 weeks old already! Time sure does fly!
Angie and Kassidy came over for a visit today, it was nice to sit and chat and eat cookies! Thanks for visiting Angie! Abby likes her friend Kassidy, as you can tell by the picture. Kassidy will be 4 months old on Monday, she is exactly 3 months older then Abby.

Abby and I were having some fun taking self-portraits, this was the best one we got, we need to work on getting her to look at the camera!

Tomorrow Gallitown goes Christmas, we are decorating the house. I am so excited! Something about having a baby around makes Christmas more special this year. I can't wait to take our family picture in front of the tree! I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Chunky Monkey!

Abby got weighed again today, as per the Doctors orders, because she wasn't back at her birth weight by 10 days, the doc wanted to make sure she was putting on weight. Well she is.... she was 9lbs 3oz this morning! I'm so proud of my little chunky monkey!
There was a baby shower for Abby at the church last night, she was sooooo spoiled! Thank you to everyone who was there, it means a lot to Abby and I. And Abby would like to say a big thank you to her Auntie Sue for putting it all together, and to Auntie Beth for the games. I have just spent the last 2 hours going through all of the loot! Here are some pictures from last night:
Tomorrow Abby and I will be apart for the 1st time, I am going to get my hair done, and Granny and Grandpa are babysitting. I am soooooo excited! I know I am going to miss her like crazy, but my hair really needs to be done. I am getting it cut and colored, my roots are so bad, but that is what happens when you get pregnant and can't dye your hair. Abby's Auntie Caryn is doing my hair, she always does a good job, so I am sure tomorrow will be the same!

3 Weeks Old

Abby is 3 weeks old today. She is doing so well, and she is just so darn cute! I find myself just staring at her all the time, I still can't believe that she is ours. She is such a good baby. Here are some pics from this past week:
I love this one, she is ready to punch someone!

This swing is a life saver, and she loves it!

Her hat is a little big, poor girl.
