Xcaret was amazing. There are many stories to tell about everything we did there, so I wont even start telling them, here are just a few pics of what we experienced there. We also went snorkeling while at Xcaret, but I will do a separate post with those pics.

New Years Eve - Mexican Style

Crazy Lunch

I returned from lunch today to find 3 fire trucks and my office building blocked off with police tape. A little concerned, we asked some people standing outside what was going on. Apparently someone in a different office opened up an envelope and found a white powdery substance. So 911 was called and the firemen came. They blocked off the entire building, no one could go in and no one could come out. The building was like this for over an hour while they tried to determine what had happened. When the firemen arrived, they couldn't find the envelope or the lady that called. We later found out that the lady who opened the envelope called 911 then stuck the envelope in a plastic bag and went for lunch, hence the huge delay. We were finally allowed back in after the determined that the substance was not hazardous. However it was sent to the lab for further testing... Interesting.
The moral of the story: If you find a white powdery substance in an envelope, don't call 911 then go for lunch. You will really tick of the 7 floors of people who have to stand outside in the cold.
