I KNOW I can dance!

Not much is new in Gallitown, we just finished watching "So You Think You Can Dance" I was feeling inspired so I danced (and sang) along to a song Bri had downloaded (Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield), and let me tell you, I KNOW I can dance!
We are 24 weeks pregnant today, things are still going well, but I am feeling very big for how far along I am. I know everyone carries differently, but I am curious as to your thoughts on my size...
I have another doctors appointment next week, so I am sure she will let me know if I am on track or not.
It is crazy hot here again today! Thank the Lord for our Costco fan with the remote, it is wonderful! And I am greatful that our bedrooms are in the basement.
We are heading to Penticton in a week and a half, and we are really looking forward to it. I checked the forecast today for Penticton, the day we arrive is forecasted at 38 degrees and sunny, I think I will bring the new fan!
Well that is pretty much it around here, the dogs are still good, I think they are pretty hot though, I would be if I had a fur coat on!
Peace Out!

2006 Oiler Playoff Beard

It is a sad day in Oilertown. So close...
I worked so hard on my playoff beard and all for not. I shouldn't say that, it was such an awesome ride! I am very proud of the Oilers. What a playoff, I can't wait until next year! That being said, it was time to shave the playoff beard and we had some fun doing it...

The Best Husband I ever had

I don't know if you know this or not, but my husband is such a sweetheart. He sent me flowers at work today for no reason. They were so beautiful. He always asks that they put pink and white gerbera daisies in the arrangement, as those were our wedding flowers. He is so thoughtful. The card said: "Because you are the best wife I ever had! I love You! Big B" He tells me that all the time, that I am the best wife he ever had, it makes me laugh.
He is so wonderful and he takes such good care of Fernando and I and the dogs. He is going to be such a great dad, I can't wait!
Thanks babe, I love you!

YP Band/Fuel/Singing Company Trip

This weekend we went to Saskatoon Saskatchewan on a YP Band/Fuel/Singing Company Trip. We left at 6:30 on Friday Night and went straight to Saskatoon. On Saturday morning we had a joint practice with the Saskatoon Temple YP Band and then we played a game of Super Size Dutch Blitz. In the afternoon we went to a nursing home and checked out the Saskatoon Mall. At 7:00 p.m. we did a concert that, in the first half, featured the YP Band and the Singing Company and int the second half moved downstairs into a coffee house style that featured Fuel. We then headed back to the camp and watched a taped Oiler game which the Oilers won! Yahoo! Sunday we participated in Sunday School and then did the morning service. After lunch we headed back to Edmonton. It was a tiring weekend but was lots of fun as always! Here are some pictures from the trip:

Driving the Zamboni

So a couple of weeks ago I was chatting with Glenda, a friend from work, and I found out that she drives the Zamboni at NAIT. I thought that was the coolest thing ever and I told her that I had always wanted to drive one. Well she talked to her boss and today I was able to go and drive her Zamboni. As Glenda was getting the Zamboni ready, her boss was telling me a little about it. They just got it 6 months ago, and it cost about $98,000. (Not something I wanted to hear right before I was about to drive it)
This is Glenda backing it out for me and getting it on the ice for me:

Then it was my turn to drive, I went all the way around the rink, I even turned the corners.

It was so cool, and so much easier to drive then I thought. I felt like such a little kid, but I had so much Fun! Thank You so much Glenda!!!!

Oh, and when we got back in the car, "Fernando" by ABBA was playing on the radio, it was great. And Fernando scored the first goal tonight, but it just wasn't enough, I hope Rolli the Goalie is Ok and will be back soon...

Finally!!!

Ok, I have finally felt Fernando move!! YAY!!! I am sure I had felt it before but just not realized it. But last night after a round of bowling (thanks guys, it was fun) I just sat on the couch completely still until I felt something, it didn't take to long, and it felt so cool. I think that was the trick, I just needed to stop and relax long enough to give me a chance to feel it! And Fernando likes brass band music, or at least he likes it when Mum plays her horn. I felt him twice at church this morning while I was playing, and I have felt him a ton this afternoon. It is such a cool feeling!
It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the sun is shining, it is great. I was just sitting on the deck with my husband and dogs, eating an orange creamsicle, does it get any better??? I am so blessed. God has been so good to us. I would totally recommend taking a minute to think about everything he has blessed you with, and say Thank You!
Oh, and one more thing... I get to drive a Zamboni tomorrow. Yep, thats right, a real Zamboni on a real hockey rink. I am so excited. Stay tuned for pictures and the story of my adventure!
