What a tease...

For the last 2 months Abby has slept 10-12 hrs at night. Not this week, she has decided that she now needs to get up in the night. 2 days ago, it was 1:30 and 6:00. Last night it was 11:30 & 5:00 & then 8:00. urgh. I am used to lots of sleep. Needless to say, I am tired, and we've got a full day planned today. I am such a whiner!

That's totally how Zoƫ was. It is so hard after being used to all that sleep. She is still waking up quite a bit at night. Argh!

good luck getting through the day.
hopefully you have time for a nap.

Maybe she is growing. That is my excuse for everything. Chris makes fun of me for saying it. Kids have a way of knowing that when you have a busy day planned, and there is no time for your own nap, that they will wake up lots in the night. Hopefully tonight is better. Maybe when Bri gets home you can catch a couple of winks. Yeah for Penticton.(from your last post) I got my confirmation too. I can't wait.

GOOD! Connor's been doing the same thing for the last couple of nights and just this morning I was telling him how Abby is such a good girl and sleeps all night. I try to blame teething but whatever it is, it better quit soon.

The disruption of sleep sucks, but if she goes back to sleep for you then it's not too bad. It's hard for you to complain when you don't have to Work! What exactly is a "full day" anyway, hehe, wish I could be you!!!

Maya was doing that for a couple of weeks but I think it was because she was cutting teeth. Her second one is coming up now too. Maybe the same is happening to Abby, or maybe she's just growing. What sucks for me is that I am always up using the bathroom anyway and now I am ALWAYS tired. I guess the key is to take naps whenever you can!

My little sweet pea has been having sleeping issues lately also. Out here where there are no city lights, it looks like we have a full moon right now! : ) I gave Kassidy a stuffed animal to snuggle with and that seems to be doing the trick - getting her to sleep and then staying content until morning time. Maybe try that?

New mothers work very hard. Sure they don't have an official paying job but just the adjustment to being a mother and trying to be a good parent is a full time job. Other mothers, working or not, should be supportive of that.

Bethjoy's comment "It's hard for you to complain when you don't have to work" was mean-spirited. Motherhood is not an easy job and any mother knows that it's full-time whether you work outside the home or not. Chrissy, you are taking a well-deserved and earned break from your career to raise Abby - that is noble and admirable.

Hey anonymous, who are you?? afraid to say your name. first of all I was not being mean spirited, I was joking, note the "hehe", I wish I could be Chrissy, because not everyone has the luxury to not have to work the next day after a sleepless night. Chrissy is an awesome MOM, I was joknig about the fact that she had a full day the next day. All in perspective right! I "stay at home" & work at home full time with my boys and know how hard moms work, it absolutely is FULL TIME ALL THE TIME.
So back off ANONYMOUS and Chrissy is my dear friend and I love her and abby to bits.
I am not mean spirited, just jealous as noted at the end of my comment, wish I could be her!!
