19 Months

Abby is 19 months old today. I can't believe how quickly time is going by!!!!
Here are her 18 month pictures:

Ok, here is the Story...
Saturday morning Brian was out golfing and Abby & I were out shopping. Abs and I got home just in time for lunch and nap time, but when we got in the house, the Carbon Monoxide detector was going off. I unplugged it and read the back, and it said to get out of the house and call 911. So I called Bri and we thought better to be safe, so I called 911 and explained that I didn't know if it was an emergency or not, but they said they would send someone to check it out and to close all the doors and windows and go outside. So Abby and I went to wait out front. A few minutes later I hear sirens, I didn't think they'd turn the sirens and the lights on, but sure enough, they did and the fire truck pulled up infront of the house. Abby was pretty excited and was waving at the truck. The firemen got out in all their gear and masks and oxygen tanks and went inside to check it out. While we were waiting for them the Captain was asking me a few questions and then asked if Abby and I wanted to go in the truck. So into the truck we went, which was very cool, those are pretty big trucks. Unfortunately, the camera was in the house, so I don't have any pictures. Anyway, turns out our Carbon Monoxide detector malfunctioned, and it was a false alarm. I felt really bad, but the Captain said they get calls like this all the time and it is better to be safe than sorry. So they packed up and headed off and Abs and I waived goodbye. That is the firetruck story, I'm just hoping we don't get a bill in the mail!

May Long Weekend

We've had a great long weekend. Nice and relaxing, other than the incident with the firetruck, but I'll save that for another post. We played a lot of killer bunnies, and just hung out in the backyard, couldn't ask for much more. On Saturday Bri and Steve built Abby's new swingset, and she loves it! Here are some pics from Saturday:

Finally a belly pic

Here you go, a pic of my tummy.

We are 16 weeks along now, and all is good. I'm starting to feel normal again, so that is good. I've felt the flutters, which still amaze me.
We were taking some belly pics last night, and Abby wanted in them, so here are Abby and I taking belly shots.

I'm Home

Well I am home, and hopefully in about 3.5 hours, Brian will be too! The flight today wasn't so great, it was full, and I had a cranky person next to me who didn't want to be sitting next to a kid. To bad lady! The plane was hot, and Abby was squirmy, I almost cried when we landed I was so relieved that it was over. Abby was as well behaved as I would expect an 18month old to be when she has to sit on my lap for an hour and a half. It was the rest of the situation that made it brutal, it was a very turbulent flight, and the crankpot sitting next to me didn't help! Anyway, enough about that.
Abby and I had a great time with my Mum. It was so relaxing and nice to be away. Thanks Mum!
We went down to the states one day to do some shopping, which is always a good time, got lots of good loot too! I heart outlet stores!

Here are some pics of our adventures:

Hello from BC

Just a quick update. Bri is golfing in Kelowna, and his first 2 rounds went well, they are already on to round 3 this afternoon. He'll play 9 in total before he comes home on Sunday night!
I'm in Vancouver with Abby and my mum. It is nice to be away and just relax. I was really sick at the beginning of the week, a stomach bug, I think, but I am starting to get my appetite back now, which is good. The flight was great. I was really nervous flying alone with Abby, but she did so well! Hopefully the trip home on Sunday will be just as great! We are off to the states tomorrow to do some shopping. woo hoo!

Bear and Duke are at home with Auntie Megs, hope they are being good for you Megs!

I'm sure they'll be lots of pics and stories when we get home.

Peace out!
