5 Months

The little man is 5 months old today! He is 17 lbs 14.5 oz and 27". A big boy! He is doing well. Rolling over from front to back and from his back to his side, not all the way to his front yet. He loves to smile and Abby makes him laugh all the time. He also loves to tell stories and blow bubbles. And he loves playing in his Intellitainer. He is still waking up every 2-3 hours at night and we can't figure out why. Feeding him is the only thing that will calm him and get him back to sleep, so I was worried he wasn't getting enough milk because he doesn't eat for very long, but he obviously is, if he gained over a pound in a month, right? We've tried a bunch of different things, I've stopped drinking caffeine, we tried giving him cereal, but he didn't seem that interested and it wasn't making a difference, so we've stopped that for now. Not sure what else to try, if you have any suggestions, we'll take them. Or maybe this is just normal for 5 month olds and we were just spoiled with Abby.

Lions, Tigers and Bears ... Not Quite

Bri and I took Abby to the Circus on Saturday and she had a blast!
We rode the "Train" (LRT) to the Circus, which was an adventure. There weren't any Lions, Tigers or Bears, but there was an Elephant, Camels, a Zebra, Horses, a Jaguar, Clowns and Acrobats. We had fun, and it was nice to spend the afternoon with our girl.

Random Pictures

Abby has a couple of friends that she likes to hang out with during the day. I am so thankful they are well behaved and basically let her do what ever she wants to them. Here Abby was playing dress up with Duke and Bear. Notice the pretty necklaces she put on them...

Kidz Quarterz

We took Abby (and Zach) to Kidz Quarterz tonight. It is an indoor playground-ish thing here in the park. Similar to a "Let's Play" or "Congo Bongo" type thing. Abby had a blast. She had so much fun running and climbing and sliding. Bri and I were a little tired, we were taking turns with her while the other sat with Zach. It wasn't very busy, but I don't think I would go there on a weekend! I was very curious to go, having worked at "Let's Play" for 5 years while I was in school, I was curious to see how it would compare. I was a little surprised at the lack of security, but it isn't really an issue for me, 'cause I keep an eye on my kid :) And it wasn't as big as Let's Play, but it is nice and close. I am sure we will go again!

Think this will last forever? My guess is no so I will enjoy it while it lasts...

Go Blades

Tomorrow night the Blades play their final game against the Brandon Wheat Kings. So far, in the best of three series, the Blades are up 2-0.

We're cheering hard for you Burke and to prove it, here are some pictures we took during your last game in Brandon...
