Daddy Daycare

On Friday our day-home lady, Brenda, had the day off to go to some appointments so I got to stay home with the kids and my beautiful niece Ally. I have said it before and I'll say it again, Brenda is a very special lady! I don't know how she does it. Taking care of the kids is exhausting but all in all we made it through and had a pretty good day.

Watching Barney. I can't believe I let Abby talk me into letting her watch the big purple dinosaur. I am a sucker. At least it kept them happy.

Watching the video

Time for breakfast

Then we decided to turn on some tunes (Not mine, Abby's favorites) and have a little dance party. As always, Abby tries to tell Ally what to do but Ally's good at ignoring her and dancing her own way!!

Ally liked the sticker/crayon combo

I think Ally is having a staring contest with the Duke

Here's a video of the kids running in the hallway. Good way to burn some energy.

Everyone's happy when they're being fed lunch

After this it was nap time. What a day. Again, hats off to Brenda, I don't know how she does it!

Mini Me

I've been waiting to dress Abby in this outfit, it was mine when I was her age.

Yep... that is Michael Jackson.

I can't post pics of just one of my kids... this was Zachy at dinner tonight. Apparently this is how he sits.

Veggin Out and Olympic cheers

The other day we put a video on for the kids to watch while we made supper and they actually sat and watched together and had a good time without fighting. Zach liked to dance to the music!

We have been watching a lot of Olympics and Abby has been cheering on Canada. Last night, we got home from dinner and the Latvia vs. Czech men's hockey game was on and Steve and I started cheering for Latvia. We Abby had to join in and cracked us up with her Latvian cheer!

Kidz Quarters and a few random pictures

Last week we went over to Kidz Quarters, an indoor playground, with the Russell's to let the kids blow off some energy. By the end of the night I think we were more tired then the kids!

Funny kids, good pups and the drums

Here's a video of Zach playing hide and seek with a bucket on his head.

Ally reading with her Daddy

Abby reading by herself.

Zach was all smiles after a sip of milk

Ally and Zach playing without fighting? Are they actually sharing a toy? Holy Moly, that doesn't happen often!

Uncle Steve and Abby reading a book together

This picture is so gross yet very cool. Big kisses for Ally by the Bear!

"Good Bear Bear"

The Bear is so good with the kids. Here she is letting Zachy give her big hugs while Ally and Abby do a doctors check-up on her.

At Christmas Zach got a drum set from his Auntie Bethany and Uncle Keith, a little playback from 5 years ago. All the kids love playing on it. It is SO loud, which you will see in the videos, but they love it so it's worth it.

Abby and Ally Playing drums together

Here's a video of Zach and Ally playing a drum duet. Very loud yet very cute!

Zach LOVES playing the skins

Finally, I will leave you with a drum solo/original song by Abby. Good luck figuring out what she is singing. I think there is a little "we have good manners", "2...2...2...", and "I love to play with friends"
